Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw MC (03 Apr 1914 – 27 June 2008), also known as ‘Sam Bahadur’, was one of the greatest Indian military leader. His distinguished military career spanned 4 decades and 5 wars, including the liberation of Bangladesh, Indo-Pak War of 1971.

ReplyDeleteWhat respect does a JCO/OR have? That of a 'security guy'?
ReplyDeleteWhat he said was possibly true during his time .. infact very Govt which decorated him as field Marshall did not respect him ..
ReplyDeleteNow we do not have respect nor the money and worst ... the gullible public thinks we get enough rum ,freebies and recently the so called diluted OROP.
As Ramapati Sahana says the worst part is the gullible public led to think we got an undesrved windfall bonanza through the so called diluted OROP over & above unlimited rum & lot of (unspecified)freebies!
