OROP has become a bone in the throat of the govt.Actually no one in the Govt knew the correct expenditure on a/c of OROP. UPA Govt too did not know the full budgetary fact of the OROP. UPA Govt while calculating the political milage during gen election just announced OROP with a budget of Rs 500/- crores. They were expecting initial expenditure of Rs 1000/- crores.Without understanding the budgetary implication BJP too considering vote bank promised OROP. The Govt realised the financial involvement only when service HQ submitted the DGL. Every one in the BJP is in favour of implimenting OROP except the FM. As per his thought process OROP is not financialy viable. The FM is No I in the Govt after PM. The FM has done some precision magic in economic management with which the growth of GDP improved and inflation bit reduced which is a major credit for FM. Therefore even the PM is not inclined to ask FM to agree with OROP expenditure. But OROP has been accepted by two parliaments BJP is not in position to backtrack and abondone the OROP but using political tactics of delay; delay and delay. However things will not go far this way, the PM has to direct the FM one day(not very far) to accept the OROP. We will wait for that day. JAI HIND.ReplyDelete
