New Delhi: Saturday, 23 May 2015 05:21 PM
Criticising Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for politicising the 'One Rank One Pension' issue, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said the Centre is committed to its implementation.
"Our government is committed to the implementation of the 'One Rank One Pension' policy. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and the Defence Minister have clarified in the last two days that modalities involved the implementation of this have been worked out and it will soon be a reality. Rahul Gandhi is doing politics over this issue but he will not succeed," BJP spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao told ANI.
Rahul Gandhi had earlier in the day met ex-servicemen at the AICC headquarters in New Delhi. After the meeting, he said that his party would mount pressure on the NDA Government to implement the scheme at the earliest.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his general election campaigns, had promised to implement OROP as soon as the BJP came to power.
' One Rank One Pension' has been a long standing demand of ex-servicemen's associations and relates to payment of uniform pension to defence forces personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service, irrespective of their date of retirement.
It is not enough to keep saying that the govt.is committed to OROP.The commitment is to be translated into action soon.
ReplyDeleteInstead of abusing Rahulji deliver the orop . It is a verdict of SC. Do not clintch it to your for a subha muhurta.
DeleteDear sir,
ReplyDeletethe only man who obstructs the implementation of OROP is mr Arun jaitley because he lost lok sabha election to an ex service man, in order to retaliate the defeat he plays this kind of illogical exercise to vent his anguish.Mr Modi is revolving around the world without realizing the impact of this. mr parikar he does not know charter of time some times week , months , no definite date modalities calculation financial implication which are not fathomable to a foot soldier whose academic qualification only 4th class fail, finally the BJP GOVERNMENT has cheated the exservice men whose curses and anguish will act up on MODI, ARUN JAITLEY and PRIKAR
At the initiative of Rahul Gandhi, exservicemen started thinking OROP as reality since last year February. Mr. Antony tried to implement the same within three/four months but could not succeed due to the inception of NDA Govt. This Govt. came to power in May last year hammering UPA Govt. for their failure in implementation of OROP well in time. Now, this Govt. has already availed 12 months and pointing about modalities. This is an execuse to delay. But when our Prime Minister gives his commitment in Siachen during last Diwali or even Defence Minister has repeatedly assured for early implementation of OROP, what is this modality about; We have to perhaps wait till 2019 for preparing our own modality of changing this government.
ReplyDeleteGirgut ke be rang basal the. Waah RaGa thanks FM ka u turn Sir pe tho LA sake.

ReplyDeleteDear sir,
from top to bottom in BJP , everybody speaks everything other than truth, in the election campaign they are mealy mouthed and oily tongued, in the trichy meeting mr modi showered slew of welfare measures, now the result is nil.PM MODI output nil
RG's meddling in the OROP issue is unfortunate but the blame squarely lies with RM and FM who have been speaking in different language and have been telling lies for months and ESMs are not fools to understand that their intentions are not clean and they are playing games with ESMs who have supported Modi government whole heartedly after Congress didn't bother for ESMs for decades especially in the last ten years under MMS.BJP too will repent at leisure loosing the goodwill of ESMs.
ReplyDeleteOn every failure issue you harp on congress, forgeting that they have been reducing to 44 seat. I feel it is right time you should remember the story "punah musika
ReplyDeletebhabva".when public given a tiger mandet dont attack the same public otherwise you will be also reduced to mouse.
Mr. FM ;DM and PM Why are u giving any chance to Rahul about OROP? It clearly shows that nothing is right with orop and u three are making fool to veterans. Why not u all should be called lier? Not only lier all of u three are playing with the sentiment of soldier which is an act of Gaddari.
ReplyDeleteDear Sir, Instead of blaming each other kindly implement d OROP soon. We need only action....
ReplyDeletefirst it was delayed by the babus of mod and now the babus of mof headed by jaitly r refusing to implement orop
ReplyDeleteCommitment should be in action

ReplyDeleteRahul is chutia and Arun jaitly is more chutia. Both are making fool to veteran
ReplyDeleteWhat comes to my mind is a dialogue between Thilakan and Innocent in the Malayalam movie "Kilukkam",asked what he had said earlier, Innocent replied "Let me tell u the truth,I just don`t remember". This is true of OROP also .
ReplyDeleteSir many days has passed to read/hear the statement of Mr VK Gandhi and Mr Kadyan President of IESW about orop. It means that something is wrong
ReplyDeleteBeing delayed by FM as he was defeated by an ex service man in LS elections.
ReplyDeleteAll the time the babus were blamed for the delay in OROP but the real culprits are the PM, RM and FM. They should be declared the Traitor and should be dealt with accordingly who are not giving any head to their defence forces.
ReplyDeletePreviously it was said that the orop scheme will be passed by lok sabha and rajya sabha, but not it will be passed by Modi in Mathura, please clarify correct place for passing the scheme
