  1. WHY DIFFRENSATION AMONG THE ESM REGARDING CANTEEN CARD LIMIT ? AFTER RETIREMENT THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY SUCH OUT DATED BRITISH TIME RULES DIVIDE AND RILE POLICY IT IT WRIGHT ??

  2. It is nonsense consept an officer or civilian officer purchase a car once in 4 years. Others once in life. Or a jco once in 10 years. How many years a jco can survive after retirement.

  3. It is most unfortunate that the issue related to the extension of CSD facility to Defence Civilian Pensioners is still pending with M of D for a decision. The latest communication from QMG Branch, (CSD), Army Headquarters, indicates that CSD Authorities wanted additional budget allocation from M of D for extending CSD facility, while it is paradoxical that no budget provision is required for extending CSD facility to serving Defence Civilians. While retired civilians from CSD Department is eligible for CSD facility, the same is denied to the retired Defence Civilians from other vital Defence Department. What a paradoxical situation?

  4. Hello All Veteran Fellows

I strongly object to the following things.  I have always been hurt and being hurt by following things, points and the behavior.

Different limits for purchase of groceries from canteens for Officers, JCOs and ORs is very much discremination.  Let it be any rank the need of groceries for the kitchens of every person whether someone is Officer, JCO or OR is same.  All are consuming same quantity of food and other items required at home.

Second hurting point is allocation of different check out counters displayed with different ranks in the canteens.  It is direct insult and creating superiority/inferiority complex among the ESM.  After retirement every ESM should be treated with equal status and equal honour.  The 'Gora Raj' (British Rule) may please be discontinued.  We are now in 21st Century.

Third the most disgusting and hurting point is the parking of bicycles, scooters, motorcycles and cars.  It is all administration's duties to provide proper and suitable parking place closer to all canteen locations.  Administration shouldn't punish and make the ESM to suffer by lifting the heavyweight groceries and carry them to the far distant parking points out side of the campus.  Administrator must consider and look into the ages of all the ESM and their health condition.  The administration must also look into the climate and the weather conditions.  Though some of the canteens have special and alloted parking closer to the canteens.  But the administration doesn't allow the ESM to utilize those parking.  All the guards doing duties at main entrance gates of military campus are instructed not to allow the ESM to enter the campus with their rides.  Every ESM has to park his ride out side the campus on the sides of the main road and walk down to the canteen on foot.  Distances from main gate to the canteens vary from location to location.  I can give live example of Air Force Station Halwara (Punjab).  Air Force Station Halwara Canteen has it's own a big parking space with 3 feet high bricks constructed boundaries.  But ESM are stopped at main gate and not allowed to enter the campus with their rides.  The guard at the gate orders every ESM to park his bicycle or the vehicle outside of the campus on the sides of the main road.  And asks the ESM to go to the canteen on foot.  This is really very disgrace, disgusting, hurting and painful.  It reflects worst notions towards own veterans and fellow citizens.  All power holders in the administration please come out of 'Gora Raj' and have humanity in you.

    Thanks!

Please circulate as much as you all readers can.

    2. Sir, I strongly condemn the policy of OBORs and Offrs categorisation after retirement, the officers are consuming more grocery or they want free as in the defence. Asking for meat for their dog and consuming by the dogs [members]

  5. dear sir,

This is clear cut discrimination to OR, I do not understand the allotment of high quantum grocery and liquor bottles to the officers. how much a human being is able to consume if u take a peg day the whole month consumption of liquor is less than four bottles, whether they drink or make others to drink. a man's capacity is one bottle he can take surfeit amount of liquor. something is required to rationalize quantum of grocery and liquor, allot 6 bottles to all irrespective of the rank and grocery allotment should be based on per capita consumption of family members. it is clear cut malpractice of government money. the government should look into this area, I THINK NO DISCRIMINATION IN DEAD BODY OF VETERANS WHILE CREMATE OR BURY. IN THE BURIAL GROUND AND CREMATORIUM NO OFFICERS , JCOS OR ORs STATUS IN THE GRAVEYARD

    1. For Chief of Staffs no limit of liquor, they can buy any number. To be honest this liquor should be consumed by the the individual who is an ex serviceman.Even if an individidual drinks everyday without break,4 pegs a day ,it amounts 31x4-124 pegs.Approcximately 10 bottles.
There is no logic in extending this facility to his spouse. She may give him company and so let him draw 15 bottles,in a month which is reasonable.. COS are entitled to purchase un nlimited number of bottles means it is nothing but the Tuklak Rajyam and his army

  6. Hello All Veteran Fellows, It is nonsense concept an officer can purchase a car once in 4 years. Others once in life. Defence officers are poor, they need financial help again and again. Other ranks are capable to purchase car from open market. It is British Rule ???? It is a Ghotala in Defence. We will take it up in all media and as well as through politicians. There should be uniform policy for all equal. All should be allowed to purchase a car after a gap of 6-7 years without any rank structure and without any CC limits.

    1. The personnel who make orders to restrict the purchase on the basis of ranks to the Air Veterans are to take note that Bharath is a Sovereign Nation with highly matured intellectuals. We are free citizens with equal in every respect and have the capability to lead a dignified life after retirement irrespective of the ranks we got our retirement. Any Order from the Government must be based on the principles of equality for all the retired personnel from the Armed Forces.

  12. Whether an ex serviceman having csd canteen smart card but not drawing pension is auth to purchase car through csd quota or not

  13. It is shamefull to indian democracy that the discrination shown to a bordedout disabled soldier who served 8 years in service and drawing disability pension was denied to buy a car from CSD. Cream Of his life was sacrificed for his country. Hence, an immediate policy changing on this matter should be initiated with out delay by appropriate govt. authority

    1. Entry to CSD is based on photographs on CSD card. The CSD card is of two types. First is a Grocery Card and the second is Liquor Card. Grocery Card has photograph of both (the husband and wife or the dependents). Liquor Card has only one photograph of the serving or the retired person.

Probably your photograph might not be there on the card and thats why they would have stopped you.

  15. Respect all army men any rank my father reteded from army. I know it is painful to everyone including my family to buy any thing like car bike achol or grocery have big difference between ranks. I agree but any one notice some people buy car car or bike or rum for others and get some money which is not good for genuine buyer. Now government make hard rules and put limits on every thing which is not good for genuine army people. So my request all army men please do not misuse CSD.

Respect all Indian armed forces and their families.

    Thanks

  16. Retired Defence Civilians are now eligible to items from the CSD/URCs as the case. But some CSD / URC units are refusing to give them AFD-1 items. It is a clear injustice

  17. Dear All, Defence forces are based on hierarchy, everyone who has commented above have probably not seens a full fledged war and hence talking about democracy in Army.
If there is no chain of command, there is no army in the world which can fight a war.
The differentiation in ranks is in every army of the world today, so stop pretending. Please educate yourself about the fact every rank in army is earned and that must be respected. No one forced anyone to join in army as a specific rank, it was by choice so why this cribbing.
The standard of living changes as in civil life and as in army. The more is the rank and associated pay, they more will be the purchasing power.
These CSD restrictions are to stop people misusing these "privileges". By the way, misuse of CSD is more than use today.
A JCO with honorable pension and post retirement benefits and join in civil life can live a standard of living equivalent to financial assets, which will be surely proportionate to a Chief of Army.
so enjoy the privileges provided by the Army and Govt and stop complaining.

  19. There is nothing wrong if the CSD employees are buying so much and leading the store empty within few days. In fact, this is a good thing. As the price at the CSD is much more lesser than the price outside hence people love to buy more from the CSD. As far as it's about buying cars at CSD, then it might be a big loss to the car dealer so I think maintaining a limit is a good idea. I appreciate it.
