DEFINITION OF MILITARY OFFICER AS PER CENTRAL CIVIL SERVICES LEAVE RULES, 1972

CHAPTER I

Para 3- Definitions 

(L)“Military Officer” means an officer of the Armed Forces who is 

(i) a Commissioned Officer of the Army, Navy or the Air Force, or

(ii) (a) a Junior Commissioned Officer (including an honorary commissioned officer), or an ‘other rank’ of the Army, or

(b) a Branch List Officer or rating of the Navy, or

(c) an Airman including a Master Warrant Officer of the Air Force;

  1. Oh, I never knew as a Sergeant I was an officer, by civil service rules.

    1. Yes this this thing correct. Since long I was knowing that an Air Craftsman is also a junior officer (noncommissioned), Corporal is an officer (noncommissioned) & you as Sergeant of IAF is Senior Officer (noncommissioned).
