Bol Janta Bol: अनिश्चितकाल धरने पर बैठे Ex-servicemen | Hunger Strike for OROP at Jantar Mantar

Published on Jun 19, 2015 Ex-servicemen of the Indian Armed Forces hailing from Punjab, Haryana, UP, and Rajasthan began a relay hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, demanding the earliest implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme, which was one of the key pre-poll promises of the ruling BJP. Parallel hunger strike is also reported to have been planned to be organised in 50 more cities.   2. Shame on politicians that the people who sacrificed their lives for country are sitting for hunger strike. From last one year modi didnt felt the issue criticle now its looking him so criticle.

  3. Now that it is a known fact that the OROP file is with FM for clearance our PM should be able to get the file cleared immediately and announce the implementation. Legal tangles if any should have been taken care of by now. One thing the BJP Govt. ought to remember is OROP in original only is accepted by ESM.

  4. It appears that Modi Govt.is bent upon testing the patience of veterans sitting on relay hunger strike.The govt is not aware that veterans will strke back.Let the time come the when this govt would be kicked out.And esm will play key role.

  6. Orop is ordered by the honourable court & accepted by the govt also examined by JPC, delay in implmentig , creates doubt on govt intention & creating unnecessary controversy . therefore govt shall announce at once the payment of OROP as suggested by JPC.
