=============================================================
Sir,

As personally enquired from CPPC SBI regarding payment of arrears on a/c of DL 33 years, On Tue, Dec 6, 2016 at 11:44 AM.

It is intimated that data will be forwarded to HO SBI, Mumbai on 08/12/16, and necessary action for payment will be initiated in between 15-20 Dec 2016.

Thanks

REACTION BY ANOTHER VETERAN

Hi Sir

Paying 7 CPC & DL 33 Yrs arrears between 15 to 20 Dec 16 will not a big credit for SBI, as they have to release before 29 Dec 16 as per circular 570. i.e within 2 months from the date of release the order.

Where as most of the banks have already cleared 7 CPC with DL 33 Yrs arrears.

Every time, this 3rd class idiot SBI bank release such payment always late as they enjoy the interest of veteran's pension.

Thank GOD, atleast GOI has given the time parameter, other wise, they would have taken another 3 to 4 months.

Really its a hopeless Bank.

Regards

  2. Banks are not given any fund adv for disbursement

  3. Banks do not earn any interest by delaying payments as they first pay and then bill the RBI for book adjustment. The reason for delay is because the SBI has the largest number of pensioners to cater to.

    2. Yes, SBI has the largest number of pensioners hence this delay. Otherwise monthly pensions are credited by 27-28 of every month.

    3. Keeping money for 15 to 30 days earns huge n good amount of interest to a bank even though it is a book adjustment. SBI has a large number of pensioners - true. Also you must know SBI is a number 1bank in India available with latest advanced technology and infrastructure with manpower, also they are paid for Rs. 65/ for each pensioner entry. Do you think SBI doing any favour or any meherbani to us. It's really hopeless bank.

    4. Crediting of pension happens only between 25 to 30 th of each month, all the banks do the same with in parameters time frame including SBI. Nothing credit to them. Even though SBI has got large pensioners, they earn more than other by making pensioners entry. They don't do any charity work for us. Having large pensioners is not the excuse of delay payment. Thanks

  14. I would like to request you all my brothers (Ex-Servicemen ) that they have to claim for delay in their payments of VIth & VIIth PC arrears/DA .As per RBI under the provision of scheme / rules that , " A Pensioner is entitled for compensation for delayed credit of pension/arrears at the fixed rate 9% will be credited to the pensioner account automatically by the bank on the same day when the bank affords delayed credit of such pension/arrears etc without any claim from the pensioner ".(Auth : RBI Circular dated 13 Apr 2012 and Govt of India Min of Finance (DOFS) Circular from under Secretary dated 07 June 2013).

  18. Many banks have paid DL33 and 7Cpc arrears to veteranst but SBI and SBT have kept the amount with them and are earning interest at the cost of exservicemen. SBI, at least had the preliminary etiquette to give reply to the query but SBT did not even show this courtesy despite two mails sent to them. Newgen banks like ICICI/HDFC etc give much better service than these bandicoots.

  19. What about United Bank Of India? They also not paid All arrears till now. Will they pay on 15-20th of this month like SBI?

  20. Thnak you Mr Athavale Sanjay for the information regarding the delayed payment of arrears to the veterans when most of the banks were disbursed it. In this connection please refer PCDA circular No 165. All the pensioners from these banks should invariably levy the delayed payment int @ 9% as stipulated in RBI and Govt orders. This is a key area where our ex-servicemen organisations can take up with the banks...

  21. Canara Bank CPPC has credited 7th CPC Arrears (for 11 months) and DA Arrears (for 5 months) without deducting Income Tax on 9th December, 2016. This is for information of pensions drawing their pension from Canara Bank. HFO MP Sharma (Retd)
