One Rank One Pension, rural schemes likely on NDA government's menu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort could bring the much-awaited good news for millions of ex-servicemen across the country as he is expected to announce the adoption of One Rank, One Pension (OROP) for ex-servicemen.
Officials said the prime minister was also expected to focus heavily on rural development and employment opportunities, the twin issues on which his government had faced some criticism from the Opposition.

  3. dear sir,
All BJP ministers are suffering selective amentia, they forget what they said in the pre poll promises and now they apply volta face . with regard to OROP every minister of BJP is having their own definition and acronym according to their whims and fancies. let us hope modi shall announce this from the rampart of red fort

  4. If the government is sincere, why does it have to let ESM carry on with the HS for yet another 25 days. A mere confirmation that OROP will be implemented and clean and clear letter will be issued before 16th August will be more graceful and keeping the nation guessing whether it will be done or not and on Vijay Diwas, Mann ki Baat or on Independence day is all non sense at this stage.
The stereo type reply in Rajya Sabha today is another absurd reply repeated by the same minister n number of times and is befooling the nation more than the gentleman who asked this question more so. If he is satisfied with the reply and thinks he he has done a great favor to ESM by asking and accepting that stupid answer...

  5. The brave souls of the departed Jawans will rest in greater peace if Amar Jawan Jyoti is not visited by the dishonest political leadership of both Congress (UPA) and BJP(NDA) to lay wreaths over there when they have no shame to let the old and disabled Jawans continue to be on Hunger Strike after being treated shabbily for decades.

  6. Now the latest being adoption of OROP,we can not and will never believe this govt any more. They themselves do not mean what they say.We now know that their replies on this vexed issue r instant, not based on facts. so, let us reject this latest version with the contempt it deserves
