Telangana threatens to get Army to clear city’s piled-up garbage

Hyderabad - July 14, 2015, 05.07 am IST -- On the eighth day of the strike by GHMC outsourcing staff, the Telangana government on Monday asked them to call off their agitation by Monday evening and report to their duties by Tuesday morning. It threatened to cancel their job contracts and recruit new people if they failed to resume their duties by Tuesday morning.

It also warned of bringing in the Army and police to control the agitation in case the protesting unions of 27,000 employees did not withdraw the strike or if they interrupted cleaning activities by other workers. In fact there have been several incidents of striking staff either obstructing or attacking those who joined duties in the past one week.

However, officials are clueless about how the Army can be deployed as it is under the Centre. Never in history, probably, has the Army been called out to clear garbage.
These warnings, however, failed to create any impact on the workers as there was no sign of the strike being called off by late on Monday. The striking staff, however, vowed to intensify their strike.

  3. Armed Forces are not meant for clearing the garbage.Training Classes should be conducted to educate Politicians and Bureaucrats about the Role of Armed Forces. They expect Armed Forces to clean garbage and when it comes to OROP and other rightful dues, they go on silent mode and keep the issues pending for more than four decades !

  4. TS State CM should be asked to withdraw his statement and apologise for not respecting the Army. He is probably not an efficient administrator, can not get the work done by outsourced staff.

Not giving proper pay and perks to the soldiers who works 7x24 hrs a day. Then now they need the force for garbage clerence !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Nonsense, foolishness. What are these politicians and bureaucrats think themselves? Maharajas? Emperors? Kings? Lord or God? Do they think army is meant for every thing and can deploy the army for any lowest position any where in the country? Tomorrow these brainless people may start asking to clean their home toilets. Will the chief of the army staff agree to that? Chief of the army staff should come out with strong voice objecting for such attitude of these nasty people and take a firm stand for the honour and respect for his forces. It is his lawful right to object and say 'no' to such nonsense orders.

Further first of all the brains of all these politicians and the bureaucrats, at whole India level, should be cleaned, washed thoroughly so that they may then start thinking in right way what Indian Army is for and what their lawful duties are.

Do these brainless stupid people think; Jawan are Kachra (Garbage/dirt), Bhanggi (Sweepers)?
