The Veterans in all AFA posts now onwards will always be addressed as- " Honourable Veteran ACM XXX or Honourable Veteran Sgt XXX".

Tomorrow the AFA completes 35 years from the year of its inception. We have till now taken so many things for granted.

But we seem to have missed taking care about the people's perception.

We need to emphasise that our profession is not just another job but is and has been an honourable profession.

The AFA has, therefore, resolved that commemorating our anniversary, the AFA will henceforth address all veterans as 'Honourable Veterans'.

The Veterans in all our posts now onwards will always be addressed as;-

" Honourable Veteran ACM XXX or Honourable Veteran Sgt XXX".

Let's start a new tradition of showing respects to all of our own.

You are also exhorted to adopt this manner of addressing each other.

Thanks.

Very nice thing and respect towards all veterans. I must appreciate the idea. Please what does mean by ACM? Could someone write the full form of ACM? Thanks!

Further I would request, stop writing officers, JCOs or PBOR.  This types of materials bring superiority and inferiority complexion.  After coming out of the defense forces all are veterans and only the veterans. While veterans are doing the things collectively there could be different responsibilities for doing the things .  But if the equality is brought in and maintained among veterans, it will remove all the hesitation while veterans are working together for any reason.  It would throw more energy & strength in the minds of all veterans and create true bonding.  I think all would positively look into this.  Thanks and best regards.
