Sir
Since the PMO babus had the discussion it indicates that the file is now with the PM.
This is the acid test of whether a Nation can trust the words of a Prime Minister of India.

Sir
The implementation of OROP (Within Days) on 15th Aug 15 may not be a reality since the CCEA met yesterday and as per reports have only approved 6000 crs for sugar cane industry soft loand and 300 crs for khariff lands.
So- without the CCEA approval any announcement will be hot air & a Jumla.
Also the gypsy is off on 16th to the UAE.
Cheers.
Hope I am wrong and the CCEA has not gone public with the approval.
BTW - will Sec 144 be imposed on 15th Aug at Jantar Mantar (and other parts of Delhi) as per protocol.

There was no meeting with PM at the PMO, however, representatives from PMO / Government met functionaries of Armed Forces veteran organisations to discuss Government proposal on OROP. Veteran functionaries out rightly rejected Government proposal on OROP. All veteran organisation viz IESM, IESL, RDOA together and in tune with Maj Gen Satbir Singh on stand. Veterans put forth following points to be put up to PM:
• No change or dilution in definition of OROP.
• OROP to be implemented in letter and spirit as approved by Parliament..
• Date of implementation wef 1 Apr 14.
• Base year for pension fixation 2013-14. (Government wanted base year for fixation as 2011).
• Not to be passed on to 7th CPC.
• Any change / increase in pension to be automatically passed on to past pensioners.
• Any system set in place to work out equally in pension of past pensioners must  mandatorily have a Armed Forces veteran as member.
Sent by an ESM who I know & who just spoke with Maj Gen Satbir.

  3. What about separate Commission for Military Exservicemen? Why this not included in Demands put up to PMO officials/PM?
