Armed forces agree to implement 7th pay commission - By Ajay Banerjee

New Delhi, Sep 16, 2016, 9.07PM(IST)

After a week-long difference of opinion over the implement enhanced salaries under the 7th Central Pay Commission pay, the armed forces have heeded the advice of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (CoSC) Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha has issued directions to all service headquarters asking them to issue orders for implementation of the 7th CPC.
This means that the soldiers will receive their new salary in their pay for September, payable in October.
Parrikar has assured the forces that their four-key demands will be met and issue will be sorted out but the decision of the government has to be implemented.
Parrikar assured them that the "anomalies" they pointed out in the 7th CPC would be taken up at the "highest level".
Their core demands are entry level pay be hiked as its suppressed, disability pension be brought at par with other wing of the Government; the forces we allowed Non-functional financial upgrade (NFU) and Enhancement of Military Service Pay (MSP) for JCOs.
The implementation had been stopped on September 9 after the three services issued letters to their formations saying they have asked the Government to hold “in abeyance” the implementation of the CPC in view of the “unresolved anomalies”. The Tribune had first reported on the matter in its edition dated September 11.
The ‘unresolved anomalies’ had surfaced in the Ministry of Defence (MoD) notification issued on September 6.
On September 12, Parrikar had asked the forces to implement the pay commission and grievances, if any, can be taken up latter.
The MoD had notified the new pay commission on September 6 and the CoSC had met on September 7 and decided to withhold the CPC pending ‘resolution of anomalies’.

  11. We the pre-2006 pensioners were not much benefited by the implementation of OROP.
I retired on 01 September 1987. and my pension after OROP is only Rs.19751/- Me and my wife are old now and somehow passing our old age. This much less pension is not sufficient taken under consideration of today's market value. Even a Rickshaw puller earns more than what I am getting. Please forgive me if I have hurt anyone's feelings, but this is coming out of me as a soldier who gave part of his valuable youth to serve this country and hope that my elected Govt. whosoever comes in power must take more care to look after these senior ex-servicemen/all ex-servicemen.
However, looking forward badly when the running Govt.(Failed to seize the black money other than very small amount and making fun with everybody in the country. I almost fainted standing in Q for just getting money in Bank and came back) will implement payment of enhancement under 7th pay commission in our bank????/DPDOs???? when every body like civilians got it(may God bless them).TO WHOSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN, please note that we are the one who faces the enemy with courage and faces bombs/bullets/mortar etc.etc. without any hesitation of dying and definitely can demand BETTER LOOKAFTER by the elected Govt. whosoever is. We the soldier from our heart say BANDE MATARAM. But my motherland should feed us well.
Dear Govt. Please release the 7th pay commission benifits in terms of money in a better manner to upgrade us to any other citizen of our country and oblige.
    MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
