New Delhi - Sep 13 2016
Defence minister Manohar Parrikar has told the Armed Forces that he will look into the “anomalies“ in their salary structures but they should immediately implement the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations as decided and notified by the Government. This comes after the Army, Navy and IAF headquarters upped the ante last week by asking the Centre to keep in “abeyance“ the implementation of the 7th CPC for them till “their persisting core pay anomalies“, which have been raised time and again, are resolved, as was first reported by the TOI.
The three Services last Friday and Saturday also issued signals to their 14 lakh personnel -who have not got their revised pay packages from September 1 onwards unlike the 33 lakh central government employees -deployed in formations and units across the country to hold their peace till a solution was found.
MoD sources said on Monday that Parrikar heard the grievances put forward by the three Service Chiefs. “The minister said whatever has been decided by the government should be implemented by the forces, and that any legitimate grievance would be looked into by the government,“ said a source.

Shame............ What a beautiful decision by DM to Service Chiefs.
ReplyDeleteThe three Chiefs must be congratulated for their principled stand, which they have taken for the good of all ranks of their commands. This is no time to retreat, the movement for correction must continue till the government realizes it's intentional follies. .
ReplyDeleteimmediate steps by the all three chiefs is to resign in the interest of jawans, otherwise you fight for your own benefit, that is correct and true action of all chiefs, put your resignations
ReplyDeleteObey govt orders regarding 7th CPC implementation.Reduce risc, tension and undue pressure on Soldiers to bring down Disability rate.Do your solemn duty of protecting National Borders but avoid getting sucked into internal conflicts. Cut down soldiers strength at hostile climate stations to bare minimum to avoid peacetime casualties by improving overall work culture.Work according to status bestowed upon u by elected Govt of this Nation and let the Nation decide, how to rate/reward this GOVT. JAI HIND.
ReplyDeleteSadhu Maharaj, where is the nation and whose nation is to be safeguarded. It is really shocking to your advice
DeleteHence forth defence pay commission must be in the control of services chiefs and not def and fin min since they are illiterate people who don't know what is defence.
ReplyDeletethen the jco/or will get duck. now whatever lower ranks get only in wake of sl offrs controlling the records office and civ staff of cgda. if the power is handed to the nda commisioned offr, beware what will/predict the consequences.
DeleteIt is sad to see the def min pushing the chiefs to accept the grave injustice being done to the def forces,no matter if the chiefs loose whatever prestige is left, after so many of them have chosen to ditch their lot for post retirement assignments and some have been maimed into silence after being made ministers. It would be better for the chiefs to resign otherwise them would be regarded as betrayers who accepted the downgrading of services below even PMFs. Though, much of the credit must go to H M Raj Nath Singh for forcefully representing the PMFs and succeeding in humiliating the services ,though the nation would pay the price for demoralizing and ill treating, the armed forces ,but who cares not the P M at least, who was the first one to sweet talk the ESM and get their votes, though, with assistance of Gen V K Singh, once a loved C O A S.
ReplyDeleteGeneral VK Singh kahan hai bhai, doondo usko
Deleteaakey bath chith karey PM and DM hey saath
Mr Parrikar is neither sincere nor serious when he says that he would look into the anomalies in the pay structure of the armed forces. He may have been good in the other aspects of procurement etc.but he has been a big ZERO in man management. HE WILL DO NOTHING AND JUST WANTS TO BEFOOL THE WAY HE HAS BEEN DISHONEST TO HIS WORDS TO THE VETERANS SINCE FEB. 2015.
ReplyDeleteOver to The Chiefs .............
The Minister says that all legitimate grievances would be looked into means so far since Independence there has either been no legitimate grievances or if there were any, have been always looked into ( And either thrown in the dust bin or put under the carpet) and identical action would be taken yet again, after looking into those. Great!! Carry on !!
ReplyDeleteIt may turn into ugly confrontation.High time the Govt must restore the Izzat of defence. Politicians are known to back out from what they promise.
ReplyDeleteWhen will u publish my comments,if not, pl let me know so that i can post it elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteRM is acting as a puppet 4 d GoM. Every time he put forward a proposal 4 AFs welfare simply turned down by MoF. But he is a Neta n there lies d mantras 4 his bow down though wd humiliation. Netas serve to self first n nation later!
ReplyDeleteMost of the Indian politicians, incl the PM, are in the habit of making false promises. The PM & RM have repeatedly lied & made false
ReplyDeletepromises with no intentions of fulfilling them, particularly to the
Armed Forces pers. Therefore No sane person should accept what the RM says regarding looking into the grievances later.

ReplyDeleteSir, All the three Chief's should unanimously decide to put strong protest for DM's view, for the welfare of 14lacs soldier's
ReplyDeleteIf the media report is in order form , then what are the options available with the respected COS.?

ReplyDeletePahle FM hamara dushman tha, pata laga 7pc bhi, khada usi katar hai. PM ke pas to samay nahin, HM ki tulna mein DM bekaar hai.Par faujiyon bhul na jana, woh ustaadi sikhlai, sona bhi to hathiyar saath rakh, kyonkih, asali saathi ek hi hai,woh Hathiyar hai-Hathiyar hai.
ReplyDeleteSituation is simple confrontation precipitated with historical neglect, evasion, denial and false assurances& promises.
ReplyDeleteConfrontation was rather created and invited.
Await for actions and reactions.some body (vom) has listed his view of possibilities.may be there are more alternatives.
All are crying and writing comments in the support of all three Chiefs but pehle samajh to lo ki anamolies kya kya hai 1 NFU ye only officers ke liye hai 2 DACP ye bhi only for officers 3 MSP only for jco and above joke only 2% hai total defense ke sabhi pbors ke liye hoti to sahi tha JAWANO ki becharo ki koi shikayat hi nahi hai Jo mila usi me khush hai aur ab bhi officers ki to anamolies clear ho jayegi but jawano ke hath me kuch nahi aayega JAISE OROP ME HUA OFFICERS KO TO 15000₹ se 20000₹ badhi hui pension mil gayi aur bichare jawano ko kya mila 1500₹ se 3000₹ INDIA BHI AJEEB COUNTRY HAI YAHA 70000 officers ki baat to maan li jayegi but 16 LAKH JAWANO KI BAAT KOI NAHI SUNEGA
ReplyDeleteAt this juncture firm stand is required by thee chiefs unanimously. Not to step back, put forward for the shake of ur own people. What ever cost has to be given for .
ReplyDeleteWhy the fuss about Pay commission, it seems that PBOR are always used scapegoats to seek redressal of their vested interest (officers)
ReplyDeleteI think RM has done the right thing to direct Chief to implement immediately.Great Sir
As you said rightly, what are the demands on behalf of our jawans put up by the Chiefs to the GOI?This tamasha will end as soon as NFU issue is solved.
Deletelets check freedom ofthought
ReplyDeleteHere is the time for the COs to show all the useless politicians the value of defense

@ mukeshji, we all suffered due to this attitude. Here is no offrs, jcos and ors.The question of dignity and status. This is right time for one word and one action. Not indifference.
ReplyDeleteIt should end soom
ReplyDeleteAnyone from elite class ( Defence Officers) may clarify as they are abusing Babus and Netas for wrong doings everywhere like in OROP ,PAY, PROMTION Etc.
ReplyDelete1. Who proposed separate MSP for Officers, Nurses and Jawans?
2. Who proposed MSP for Nurses more than a Subedar Major?
3. Who proposed Second Lieutenant rank be scraped but never bothered for Sepoy rank to b scraped ?
4. Who proposed reduction in time scale for Capt, Major and Lt Col and increase in time for Havildar / Sgt/ Petty Officer?.
5. Who proposed that minimum time for JWO in IAF b 19 years in selection and brought Lt Col in Time bar to 13 years. In both cases, min time was 17 for selection grade. Lt Col pay increases on promotion from Major by 32000 to 35,000 in 13 years time bar while for Sgt 13 year time bar 1800 only and for selection grade JWO it increase by 3800 . DA @ 119 % Ref.
6. Who proposed that promotion from Sgt and above will be based on ACR / Merit and for Officer 4 Promotion Time bar?
7. Who Brought Lt Col to pay band 4 and Not brought Havildar to PB 2 . As per 6 CPC report, PB 4 was given to Maj Gen and above.
8. Who made policy to Kick more than 70 % Sepoys after 17 years of Army service without single promotion and keep Officers in service up to 55 yrs ?.
9. Who justified that your car will become scrap within 4 years and you be allowed to buy again through CSD but a jawans car will not get a scratch for life time.
10. I can list many more but I hope the above mentioned points are enough to tell you that stop fooling us on the name of Babus. I'm sure 90% Officers sitting in AC Office at HQs are real culprits behind all the discrimination and injustice for above said points.
